Buriram immigration office?

When you open a currency account and make a minimum deposit BKK Bank sends you a nifty gold VIP card in the mail. Thinking it was a gimmick I showed it to the greeter who then took my documents completed all forms for my transaction and called another girl over to explain the card. She said no waiting. You go direct to first desk or window one or six. You are VIP. SO don't throw those cards away. They really do help.

Haven't got mine.....

I met someone at Robinson this morning who told me a Thai immigration officer has recently been transferred to Buriram Immigration Office.  He told me he is an angry little ant who is on the take.  Can anyone verify this?

Well, went along to Buriram to do my first 90 days report.

Was a little nervous and had photocopied everything, twice, just incase needed. Got to the 3rd floor of the Buriram building and was served straight away, bloke came over and updated my address, as original address was in Chonburi, and then did the 90 day report, all no fuse or hassle.   

I was so shocked at it being straight forward and not complicated that I forgot to ask about getting a letter of residency and a exit/re-entry visa for next trip out!

Heading back this week to see if I can get it sorted.   
As I believe you need a resident letter to get your thai driving licence?

You need the letter from the Land Transport Office first (in theory).

The last 2 times I have got my DL I obtained the certificate of residence from the Buriram Police Station. As of September last year, that was accepted for my 5 yr renewal.

Ray ... I have to agree with Freddy on this one. Buriram DLT will accept a Police issued Certificate of Residence for Driver Licence application or renewal. Easy to obtain. No letter from DLT required.

Just tell the cops you'd like a Res Cert for Thai Driver Licence.

Just be aware that some of the Police Stations don't produce certificates of residence that are accepted by the DLT. My first time I obtained one from Lam Plait Mat Police that they hand wrote and was not accepted so had to get a 2nd one from Buriram.
It may be worth considering getting the letter from Buriram Police as you have to go to the DLT anyway.

so just before you turn left at traffic lights to go to immigration office, that is handy.

Well I am a Buriram Immigration fan.  They have really streamlined the Retirement Extension Process to the point that Expats that meet the requirements should do it themselves. 

I am not bothering to offer to help expats any longer as outside help is not needed.
