Sports TV.

We all have our favorite sports but how do you watch it. On your computer, Satellite dish TV, Android Box, Slingbox, Dream-box,Google Chrome-cast , APPLE TV or some other way .

Also how much do you pay and what is the quality of the picture.

Also do you get a better overall deal buy paying a monthly subscription to company or is free sport streams on the Internet just as good ?

Other options for Internet users Windows/Mac - Android Set Top Box or Mobile (Web) Player

https://www.365sport.tv/index.php         999 Baht a month for 22 channels ( 600 Baht for 10 )

http://www.ilikehdtv.tv                           Video on Demand movies for 200 Baht, Thai Language Live TV for 250 Baht and English Language Live TV for 350 Baht. By buying all three at once I only had to pay 550 Baht which gives me one month to test everything fully.

https://www.thaiexpat.tv             900 baht a month for 32 channels  or 600  for 19 Channels

http://uktvnow.yolasite.com            MAG254 + Wifi Antenna  + 12 Month Subscription = € 499    Renewal €369

There are 100's of ways of watching Live ports on the Internet but above are just a few of the monthly pay2view packages on offer.

I've been using Kodi ( XBMC ) and for the technical minded computer/android user you can get up and running with a few hours of You Tube's and some reading on the Internet .

But as the users rise, so do questions.....  http://wtvpc.com/2015/04/27/is-kodi-legal-as-users-rise-so-do-questions/

For those wanting to going down the Adroid/DigiBox route then these can be brought at most good Electrical wholesales for around the 3000 baht . Those that aren't technical minded then these Adroid/DigiBox's can be brought on-line pre-loaded and ready to go with all the programs you will ever need for as little as 3999 baht .

I have a friend in Pattaya that has these boxes for 3999 Baht ,he also a On-line help email page to answer any queries . .....here's his Facebook page     https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=1625377957746946&set=a.1391739071110837.1073741828.100008242724046&type=1&theater

I use Kodi on my Computer that is connected to my TV via a hdmi cable, the Android boxes can be brought from many Electrical wholesales .
There's many makes of Android Boxes just like there are when you buy any type of electrical appliance. I guess you need to shop around or maybe one of our helpful members can give advice on where one can buy one and the make and model they prefer.

I believe you can even buy an adapter so you can plug your ipad into your TV , Kodi and some of the other TV viewing apps can be used on ipads as well  :)

Most sport can be streamed for free if you have an internet connection.

StarsportsIndia is a good channel to watch. The whole of the Ashes series has been on that channel.

"Google" TrueHD and most channels can be watched.

I gave up watching sport streams via internet sites a long time ago.The problem with most are the endless adds that have to be remove and even when using Addblockplus some won't let you go to full-screen unless you turn your add-blocker off and then your open to Malware  Plus more and more are getting geographically blocked , you then end up using unblocking software and it slows your speed down then you end up buffering all the time :(
I'm sure there are many people still using them but I will give live sport streaming sites a miss, thankyou
Kodi is live streaming but your don't get the hassle of all the adds but even on Kodi some addons are geographically blocked

Yes great for Cricket but not much use if you want to watch EPL,MMA or some of the other regular weekly live sporting events .I did see they had EPL full replays but none of them were working when I just tried !

"Google" TrueHD and most channels can be watched.

I hope you don't mean Truevison   ...less said the better about TV the better

I watched ManU v Spurs and Arsenal v West Ham on StarSports.

I watch the Buriram UTD games on TrueHD stream. Also seen a bit of F1 on there.

I watched them live.

I don't know too much about it. I stumbled across the games. I didn't have to subscribe.

The best way to watch EPL free is actually to use the Thai sites. There is usually a Facebook or you tube live link. The commentary is in Thai but I don't worry too much about that. Most English commentary is drivel anyway.

BTW, If you buy a box then good luck and get ready for a bit of studying  :)

I've told people I about Kodi and they have downloaded it onto their computers.Every time I spoke on the phone and asked "How's the Kodi going "  the normal reply was " I can't get the F**ker working '   brick1

A mate of mine in the next Village had Kodi on his computer for months just sitting there doing nothing. I spent a few hours loading up the set-up wizard with all the addons for the start of the EPL Season so he could watch all the games. He phoned me after the start of the season to say he watch all the games and it never missed a beat, plus the picture quality was as good as any tv satellite he had seen since living in Thailand .
I guess the other friends I know that live further-way  will just have to buy a pre-loaded box off Bill ( Bob ) in Pattaya , plus Bill's Digi-boxes are loaded with many other app for your viewing pleasure

Jackie-boy - try this

http://sport-uzivo.cf/

Full HD streaming on SkySports and BTsports using torrent technology. You just need to install the acestream plug in for your browser.

No pop ups no adds not blocked (in Thailand) and only a half decent internet access required.

I use it with HDMI cable from my old netbook (+5 years) streaming to a large screen TV.

Cheers Mike , I do agree that torrent streaming is a good way to watch sport.

Kodi has Acestream and P2P Addons that work great.

The P2P addon is probably my favourite as it just works perfectly and has just about every sports channel out there. ( no need to add any other plug in's like SopCast or veetle )

If your Internet is running a little slows with Torrent streams you can put them on hold and go and make a cup of tea/coffee or get a beer out the fridge and when you get back the stream has been loading onto your cache. You then click Play and you can then watch buffer free viewing . But if you have a good internet connection with speed of 7-10 Mbps you should be able to watch any on-line streaming without buffering.

JB,

Thanks for the info about Kodi and acestream and the other p2p add-ons, I will check it out. I do the prebuffering when I am on a not too quick speed. I skip the tea / coffee :-)
