Swimming Pool
« on: April 26, 2015, 12:36:51 PM »
We just had our Pool finished and are very happy with the build and end result. Should anyone be considering a pool project I can thoroughly recommend Issan Pools based in Surin. I did a lot of research before selecting them and have not been disappointed. Build quality has been fantastic and end result is superb. Issan Pools have a link on the Surin Farang website. I'll try and get some pictures posted below.

12m x 6m. O.6 shallow for 4m slope to 1.8m. 8'LED lights, 2 ladders, 3 jacuzzi jets, built in seat area with steps either side. Fully tiled with crackle glazed. Salt water chlorinator (autumn Solar from Australia) emaux 1.5 pump, emaux filter. 30 cm sand stone surround. 1,079,000. We had some additional decking and stone work done on top. Not the cheapest out here but built to high standards with 2 layers of steel and 300 strength concrete floor and walls. Pool can be emptied if necessary with no structural concers. Also we opted for more expensive tiles so would have been down a bit if had chosen the basic ones.

Sorry, should have said. Pool is a weir system ( overflow). If skimmer quite a bit cheaper but we have trees all around so had to go with overflow.

Anyone have info about JD Pools ? Seem like they have an office in Korat. The composite models on their website looks tempting, but
i know nothing about total costs (installed in my Buriram property)

I looked at JD Pools and I think they have a reasonable reputation. Bob at the Buriram builders merchants used them I think so may be worth popping in the store and chatting with him. I think JD also do liner pools. Both are a cheaper option than a tiled. From memory I think a largest fibreglass pool with all pumps, filters etc would be around 600 to 700k.
Swimming Pools Thailand are worth a look also and cover this area. They do some package prices on In ground concrete/ tiled pools up to 8x4m and they are prices very reasonably.

Thanks a lot for reply. The composite pool seems to need lesser maintanance in general. Considering im only in Buriram 1-2 times a year. JD`s website doesent show prices. Interessted in the model: Swim Plus  AND  Harvest

Swimmingpools Thailand does offer great prices on tiled pools, but do they deliver an innstall in Buriram area ?

I spoke with them also and they do cover all areas. However, I believe they will charge a supplement....I.e. Living expenses for the workers.

Freddy,

Even though Issan pools was not the cheapest your research lead you to choose them. Can I ask why ? What was different about them that made you prepared to choose them and pay more ?

Also do you mind sharing the quotes you got from other companies that were competing against Issan pools ?

Mike
