I read somewhere that if cleaner is not available to use bleach as an alternative? Or even just plain sandpaper?

Any comments?

I once went to a deal of trouble to get a recommended PVC cleaner so that I could repair a busted pipe. As this was an insurance affair, I got a plumber and he scoffed. These days when setting up PVC pipes I just wipe my finger covered with glue around the joint and haven't had any problems yet. Not high pressure fittings of course, but I wouldn't use PVC for high pressure pipes anyway. We have fittings that were set up like that 15 years ago and aren't leaking (yet).

Thanks.

I thought of trying to find it, but I see the Thais doing it the same you describe and they don't seem to have any problems, even the village water supply (mains) has been done that way.

If I can find it it's oke but also if I can't it's still oke (I hope ;) 555555

I will be using HDPE 6.3 (and the appropriate fittings) for high pressure.

Thanks again.

Most people recommend Alan the Builder.

But how many of those that recommend him have actually use him ??? . The people I know that have had quotes from AtB have all decided to use a good local Thai builder ( for cost reasons ) they have found by driving around their locale and looking for houses they like and then asking the owner who the builder was. They have then ask the builder to show them other houses he has built.
People that have problems are usually those that are to lazy to do some legwork of their own . Cowboy builders can be found everywhere in the world, not just in Thailand as some try to make out.
You only have to look at Alan the Builder's web-sites and some of his threads on this forum to see he does build some very nice houses .You pays your money and take your choice. ;)

Try popping in here   http://www.burirambuildersmerchants.com/index.html  and ask the owner if he could recommend anybody. But again make sure you ask the builder to show you other houses he has built so you know the quality of build you are going to get.  Remember its a big investment so don't rush into anything   :)
