Maybe they should have made a trip to Savannakhet for their multiple entries where no financial proof needed at the moment.

Just checked the requirements from the UK.Copies of marriage certificate and a copy of the wife's ID Card or Passport.No mention of money.I thought the 400,000 Baht that needed to be shown was for a non immigrant cat "O"to be extended into a marriage visa.
Why not...........abide by the rules or go back home!

The 400000baht requirement is for an extension of stay, which is obtained in Thailand. This thread is about obtaining a multi entry visa out side of the country. As far as neighbouring countries go, KL is the only Consulate that asks to see money in the bank.What you received at KC immigration is most likely a Multi Re entry permit. There are no funds required for this as you are no applying for an extension. You are simply asking permission to leave the country without your extension of stay being invalidated.
