pest eradication
« on: June 06, 2013, 06:53:33 AM »
We have ticks climbing up the bloody walls here, is there a pest eradication service in Buriram or do I have to poison myself?
Please?

Are you sure they are ticks?

Nope, they are ticks for sure, dog ticks do that, they go up walls. I don't really mind but my wife is becoming neurotic about this and expects me to do something about it.

just a thought, if you can find Malawash or gama wash D...active ingredient Diazinon and maldison, used commonly for cattle and household pets, dilute with water and use pump pressure sprayer, if you give the affected areas and dust areas around house a couple of times during the first week, then once a week for the next few months (season) your problem will go away and you will not need to go on a forced holiday, i used it every year in Papua new guinea. your animals and the outside dust attract them..usually you can get them eradicated in a couple of weeks, as it will break the breeding cycle....the poison kills the ticks but the eggs seem impervious. im sure you can purchase from a agricultural supplier...or the more expensive would be a vet.

BTW first year i used it i had thousands overnight crawling up the walls of my workshop and apartment, a friend of mine was a pest controller, charged for the first spray, then gave me a 5 ltr container, that did the job.

I was thinking of something else but I'll go visit today. Thanks. The beasts can live up to two years without food apparently so I guess it'll become a regular thing.

I'm using this chemicals for my garden against ticks (mixed with water), have just sprayed for the second time in two weeks. You can get different kind of products at any vet in Buriram. My dogs are getting an injection every 6 months and it time again.

It's a lot of ticks this year!
