Implications of visiting Chong Chom market

I have been invited by local friends to accompany them to Chong Chom border market to change the scenery. I landed 2 days ago and have 30 days single entry visitors' visa.

Does crossing border at Chong Chom mean that I will lose my 30 day visa and will only get 2 week visa?
How much new visa will cost at Cambodia?

The Chong Chom border market is on the Thai side. No need to cross the border.

Should you cross for any reason, you will only receive a 15 day stay stamp in your passport upon return. Only need to cross for the casinos!

Its 15 days if you return by land and 30 days if you return to Thailand via Air. The market is very big now and most stalls all sell the same stuff as every other one. Moody/copy electrical good are guaranteed to work for at least an hour, so you will not be arsed to return them.

on the positive side the market is about 2km from the border crossing so there is no need to cross and you can get a cold beer and a shot of Thai whisky at a few of the stalls.
