Korat immigration Info.

There's a rumor which says Korat immigration is due to be closed??someone knows more details .. ??

I'm new to this forum but I've been in korat immigration 1 month ago and have seen a notebook farangs signed on saying they want this immigration not to close down.
They write there that once they will collect enough signatures they will give some official incharge on this in hope he will consider it and NOT close the immigration..

yes .thats right. the clerk in the immigration office told me they might be closed till the end of 2008.

Korat immigration will be closed and will NOT accept any further visa application (ie: visa extention).

All should go apply in the new place of "Surin-Kap Chong" new place in Korat.

The "Kap Chong" Korat immigration office is at Chokchai! 
See map as well (on Route 24 between Toyota and PTT).

A new immigration office is opening in Chok Chai on October 1st.It is situated close to the PTT filling station which is on the route 24, RH side after going thro the traffic lights heading for Pak Ton Chai/Saraburi.I haven't a clue as to what services will be available

Have been in the new office.nice setting there and should be there next week to get my stamp. don't go to TOT office and go only CHOK CHAI office as the TOT guys will not accept your application.

Korat / Chok Chai immigration office will be moved to another location.
*The immigration office will no longer be located near the Chok Chai crossroads.

Date of relocation:
Start on 28th July 2010, the Immigration Office

Location + Directions:

If you're coming from Buriram or Surin area:

Turn right at Chok Chai crossroad (The traffic lights).

Continue drive about 12 km's (Near the pottery village).

Turn right (You'll have to make u-turn in order to turn right).

Continue drive about 1.5 km's.

Turn right again and you will see the new immigration office just opposite the school.
