Have stayed at the Thep Nakorn Hotel (Jan) and booked in to a standard room, found it to be clean and ok. The thing i found odd was it seemed to be very ver empty, more like we were the only ones in the hotel. Rooms were cheap if you consider that we were paying double the price in Samui and Hua Hin (about 1200 Bht). Any tell me if there is a better Hotel to stay in as i am back in Buriram in July and want try a different Hotel if poss. My other option would be to rent for a few weeks.  party9

The place I like to stay is U-Jarern Serviced Apartments.  And despite what the web site says I paid 350 baht per night no breakfast.  Downstairs rooms look as good as the pictures, Upstairs rooms are 3,500 baht a month, but are Uni Student type rooms.

Neat, clean, renovated, good AC, fridge, excellent shower and toilet, close to the railway station just on the North Side street behind 7 eleven.

Cheers

I would like to let you know about a fairly new resort style hotel in Lam Plai Mat.

I can't tell you any contact details but I can tell you the location. I will find out and add these details later.

The accommodation is clean and new and good quality. There are 7 chalet style rooms around a grass area also it has a very nice swimming pool.

Price is around 600 per chalet per night, coffee included but no breakfast available as yet.

Cross the rail tracks, to the other side from the town. At the "T" junction turn left. Follow the road along past the train station until you get to the Chinese temple, just before this there is a right turn, take this and the resort is about 200 metres on your right.

I tried to attach a couple of photo's file size is to big.

Tep Nakorn expensive dirty bath water and worn out rooms.
Ploy Resort great rooms but got a dog that keeps you awake in the middle of the night, God knows how many customers I have seen leave just because of the pesky dog.
Paradise Resort nice rooms and reasonable price.
Suri Resort don't give a shit about their customers only the money.
Vongtong Hotel same as above but worse and now closed down
Siam resort nice rooms but crap room service
That's my honest opinion of the places I have stayed

The best hotel in the area is now the Phanom Rung Puri on the Chamni road going out of Nang Rong.

Not everyone's favoured location but it is the best I have seen.

(Park Hotel is also very good but located down a horrible dirt track. Probably the best marketed hotel in the area - signs on the roads for 10km east, west and South).

+1. Very impressive hotel. Luxury style. I had few customers stayed there and really liked it there.
You will need to have a transportation of course but considering what nang rong town have to offer, I don't think you will miss the 'action' in the city.... hahaha
