Biometric photo for new British passport

Does anybody know a place in Buriram (or Surin) where they can do this correctly?  British passport office will no longer accept just any old 'passport photo".

Any photo shop will do a 'passport size picture'..
There are many shops, to count 2 of them:
1) On Jira road, near the old 'Taweekit'.
2) Off Romburi road beside the main lake where everybody exercise.

Few important things when doing the photo for the biometric British passport:
1) seat straight looking at the camera.
2) Shoulders included in picture.

Photo Specifications 

Please provide 2 identical copies of a recent photograph of yourself (not more than 6 months old).

The photographs should be in colour and:

1. Taken against a white background so that features are distinguishable and contrast against the background; 

2.  Clear and of good quality;

3. Printed on normal photographic paper; 

4. Unmounted - 45 mm x 35 mm in size;

5. Full face (without sunglasses and normally without a hat or other head covering, unless the applicant wears such items because of their religious belief or ethnic background).

The rules for passport photos
The photographs you supply with your application must:

show you with a neutral expression and your mouth closed (no grinning, frowning or raised eyebrows)
show you on your own (babies should not have toys or a dummy, and there shouldn’t be other people in the photo)
be in colour, not black and white
be identical
be taken within the last month
be 45 millimetres high x 35 millimetres wide - this is the standard size when you have a passport photo taken in a photo booth or studio (you should not trim a larger photograph to meet this condition)
be clear and in sharp focus, with a clear difference between your face and the background
be taken against a plain cream or plain light grey background
not show you with red-eye
be of you facing forward and looking straight at the camera
not be torn, creased, or marked 
be printed on plain white photographic paper
be free from shadows
be taken with your eyes open and clearly visible (no sunglasses or tinted glasses and no hair across your eyes)
be free from reflection or glare on your glasses, and the frames must not cover your eyes - the Identity and Passport Service (IPS) recommends that, if possible, you remove your glasses
be professionally printed (photographs printed at home are not acceptable)
show your full head, without any head covering, unless you wear one for religious beliefs or medical reasons
be taken with nothing covering your face - you should make sure nothing covers the outline of your eyes, nose or mouth
be a close-up of your head and shoulders with a recommended head height (the distance between the bottom of your chin and the crown of your head) between 29 and 34 mm
not have any writing on the front or back - except when one of the photos needs to be certified. If there are trademarks or other photographic printing on the back, these must not show through when the photo is scanned by IPS

The problem I have had in the past is getting my head in the  29 and 34 mm range with everything else being in proportion ,maybe I just have a big head  ......Thank god for Photo-shop

Nothing else needs to be in proportion!

Your nether regions, regardless of size, are unimportant!

Many thanks, Nick, for your help.  One, I hope final, question:-  you do not need the photos certified
by a British citizen if you send the passport... from Thailand we do not send the passport, only a photocopy of the details page.  Do you then still need to get the photos certified?

The photos have to be countersigned  as in the past.

Isanbirder......I think the best photo shop in Buriram town is the Fuji one next door but one or so to the seven eleven, which in turn is diagonally across from the Bangkok Bank. The junction where there is also a hardware store opposite.

There is a little bit of spoken English in there and the equipment is all top notch. When the photos have been taken the lady runs them through the computer to remove and red eye or such problems. You can verify them first before she produces them. I think it is about 120 baht for 6.

I've finally got these photos done to my satisfaction, and I hope the British Consulate-General's.  The first lot they did came out with a blue rinse... and I decided I didn't want to go through the next ten years labelled as a blue-rinsed queen, if the CG would accept it.

I did it in Krasang.  For anyone living there, go across the railway from the main town, cross the crossroads, and it's the second shop on the right (Kodak).  A cheerful fat lady does it, you check and advise as she does it, and you're out in ten minutes (the first time I didn't take my glasses, and didn't notice the blue until I had got home!  that was my fault).
