Hi,
I have been coming to Thailand for about 5 years and have played alot of golf around Pattaya.  Am now bored of the Pattaya scene and am wanting to spend more time with my girlfriend in her home town of Buriram.

Have been there once before but it was a very quick visit and I did not see anything of the place except for a thai disco in the centre of town and BigC!

What activities are there for Westerners to do?  In particular I am keen on playing golf; if there is a GC?

Thanks for the info,
cheers, Craig

Hi there yes there is a golf course it’s a 9 hope army course but its very trying tight fairways –There’s also a course in Surin army also. Burirams not really got too much going on, but it is a nice place, good shopping too with all the new supermarkets. There is a forum in Surin too for more info you’d have to look it up on Google. Ok mate well I hope you enjoy Buriram when you get hear cheers and thanks Alan welcome1

Played 9 holes in Buriram today. The course is a bit greener than a couple of weeks ago and the greens are in slightly better nick - still played like a muppet though, so perhaps the problem is with me rather than the course. Went to Surin last week for the first time and was quite impressed (with the course - not my golf) and it is cheaper than Buriram too, although Buriram does have the better looking caddies.
