Recent tsunami warnings?

Has anyone in Thailand seen anything about a threat of a tsunami in the Andaman sea, my wife said she has seen recent reports on tv.I have not seen anything on news UK or on Thai blogs. My son is going to Patong next month before coming to Buriram and my wife is concerned for him.We were in Patong the last time and were lucky not to be hurt,dont want him to push his luck to much if a warning has been issued.
