Buriram Driving School
« on: March 10, 2010, 07:30:00 AM »
After letting to ladyboss put life at risk on two wheels the past few years, I have decied to take the plunge and temp fate by allowing her to put my life at risk on four wheels.  Before I unleash her on the streets of Buriram, though, I'd like to send her to driving school. I recall in the past someone mentioning to me that there is a good driving school in Muang Buriram. Does anyone have the contact information for the school or have any idea of what the costs are?

Try first in the transportation office.
They teach how to drive and issue driving licences there.
I'm sure they have the qualified driving teachers.

I was able to locate a suitable driving instructor. Her name is name is Khun Pad and her phone number is
087-8743169.  Offhand I believe the price was 3000 baht for seven, two-hour lessons.  The wife was very happy with the instructor and the course.  The lessons seem to be have been of some benefit, but I would still recommend staying out of the path on any oncoming Toyota Yaris you see headed your way.

Instruction is available for both automatic and manual. I believe the manual was an old pickup and the automatic was a slightly less old Honda.
