I was able to locate a suitable driving instructor. Her name is name is Khun Pad and her phone number is 087-874-3169. Offhand I believe the price was 3000 baht for seven, two-hour lessons. The wife was very happy with the instructor and the course. The lessons seem to be have been of some benefit, but I would still recommend staying out of the path on any oncoming Toyota Yaris you see headed your way.
Instruction is available for both automatic and manual. I believe the manual was an old pickup and the automatic was a slightly less old Honda.
Great info. Thank you. There is also a place for teaching how to drive and learn for theory test behind the night market of buriram city.See the map,its where the red sign in the map. I'll check details soon.
