1 year multiple entry visa from K-L ?

Does anybody know if its possible to acquire a 1 year multiple entry visa from K -L Malaysia ?
I got one in Penang Malaysia once but they are getting very picky nowadays .

What difference does that make,,,,,If Alan isn't old enough for a retirement visa,or hasn't got a Business Visa,then he ain't got an option!!!!!

Its only a temporary thing I will be needing for 6 months or so  until I re marry , the immigration officers advised me to get a type O for now , and  I didn’t want to travel all the way to the U-K when I can just nip somewhere more local .

Don't know if it helps you Alan but just got back from a visa run, was staying in phuket and thought i would go to Panang and try and get another 1 year visa, Yes i could of got a one year visa had i had the right paperwork! Having just sold my business and thus not having the company anymore all i could get was a 3 month visa! This however is free, it cost me 4500Baht for pick up from hotel in Phuket to Penang 1 night in hotel and food once going once coming back!

So if you have a registered company yes you should be able to get a 1 year multiple entry visa!

However next time i think i will fly as the 10 hour drive killed me couped up in a minibus with no tv/dvd like on some visa runs from Patts to Cambodia!

I think yes, registering a company in Thailand giving you the right to apply 'B' non immigrant visa 1 year.

But what I do not understand is why multiple entry visa and not a full 1 year visa?
I thought its possible to do.
