Not that I'm an economist, but it should make a difference to all of us, as cheaper imports should drive down the price of the local stuff as well, except that Archer beer which no one likes hence there is no market force driving it.   However there is the old curve ball - Thai logic, I mean Thai Airway didn't really compete with the discount airlines in Aus.  They are still one of the most expensive airlines to fly with.

Well i certain i will have comments as usual..... the big boys will supply you more beer than you can dream of!!
Here is one of them! (check the countries in ASIA) you have them brewing anything fron Larger to Stout and as they have a big foot hold allready and distribution in place!

Why do you not ask ADMIN for sometime in 2010 to run a Luxury Coach Trip ( some of you have seen the real nice way to Travel )
Brewery Tour of Thailand ( you get free beer ) sample them all!
I have been on them in other Countries...realy fun (but keep away from the Yeast Room or you smell it in every glass for a week....put off !)

And you could even go to some gold fish bowls!!!  and have bangers and mash !

The trouble is that the Exices Department normally confiscates all beer brought into the country!  so no one try's to sell , because they will loose it !
Thai's can cross the border for a song ! not like us!
May be when they have ASRO (asian euro ) and ASEAN ECONOMIC COMUNITY life could be simple!

Think the ASEAN way why make it easy when we can make it hard! (MONEY) AND THE POWERFULL MULTI NATIONAL COMPANIES WILL NOT PLAY THE CORRUPTION GAME ! THEY PLAY TO WIN ONLY.....AND THE DOORS ARE BEING OPENED SLOWLY BY THEM!  and LEGALY!!!

There are at least 2 wholesalers in Pattaya who sell it,The number of bars down there selling it on the increase too

Its a great shame that Australasia are not included. It would be nice to get some reasonably price Australian wine too

Well if they import Porto Wine from Goa India god help us 70 rupee's = to 55 thb  and you have to water it down weigh to stong !! Dangerous
