Dennis, That can depend on everything. If you have a plan, please email it through to me, and I will put a rough price together for you.

If you hold tight a couple of weeks, you will see what the finish is like.

But for now, here are some Pictures I took yesterday :

Wow, this looks really well build, but can you use this kind of ceilingplating, I don't know the name here but in Holland it's called gyproc, outside? I now in Belgium and Holland they use green plates for bathrooms, they are treated with something that makes them more moisture resistant.

Yep Green = moisture resistant
Blue-ish = duraline, impact resistant
Pink = fire resistant
I can't remember what colour the sound barrier slabs are.

I'd imagine that the green boards are fine externally as long as they are plastered with Sand and Cement rather than Gypsum skim coat.  Is that right ?

Very nice pics.  It's gonna be a lovely house when its finished.
I especially like the pic of the can of leo on top of the half-finished sink.  Builders  ... same the world over  mhihi

You cant put sand and cement on a board , they only tape and fill the joints sand and paint mate .Most of the time in the UK this is all they do now !
Thanks guys..

I was thinking sand and cement on something like expamet lathing.
Fair enough, they tape and joint the boards so.
Do you need a moisture barrier like polythene or something behind it coz its external ?

Hello group,
I own an interiors company in the UK and install drywall products on a daily basis and the following colours related to these properties. Although by doubling up on layers can also give you a required spec for many applications, We use the white book which tells you all the specs and installation processes.

Red is fire
Duraline is yellow/brownish
green is moisture
Blue is soundblock
Grey is standard wallboard
White is megadeco which basically does all of the above but at a cost

I said all of this but colours mean different things in different countries the same can be said for electrical materials.
But if we are talking European specs then the above is correct.

Nice house Alan
Cheers speak later

Talking of ceilings do you have a specialist ceiling contractor install them or is it in-house.

The reason I ask is I will be installing a ceiling in the house I am living in at the moment.

Not ready yet as we are building bedrooms and a couple of bedrooms.
