A Scotch egg consists of a hard-boiled egg,, which is shelled. then wrapped in a sausage meat mixture, coated with breadcrumbs, and deep-fried. They are usually eaten cold, picnics, snack or as part of a salad. I have heard that you can eat them hot, but they are better cold!

They were invented by some department store in England somewhere, so not really Scottish!

I can only say what about verse six of the national anthem!  Would my queen want to destroy its own nation!

There use to be something about verse three as well! 8) "save us from the Scots" but that seems to have been changed! coffeeman

Anyway 1738! that was George II great grandson of James VI of Scotland, though getting somewhat diluted by now! by continental influence?  :P

lol Anyway, most of us Scots still await the next arising (and not the sort you get in Pattaya) blinkbar. lol the recent election shows the divide! alcoholic

Had one of Steve's (Buriram Pieman) Scotch Eggs yesterday.

Great value at 30 Baht - especially when compared to the Yorkies one I bought in Friendship last week for 65 Baht.
