90 days reporting up and running again?
« on: July 02, 2017, 11:20:45 AM »
I just saw a link on TV forum suggesting that https://extranet.immigration.go.th/fn90online/online/tm47/TM47Action.do
is working, it seemed to be ok when I checked it out.
Last time I went to Buriram immigration I was told not to use the Internet site for the the TM 47 so I'm waiting for someone else to do it first!

When I got my extension of stay based on retirement this last Friday we asked about on-line reporting. The Buriram immigration personal told us that the on-line reporting is no longer available and you have to report to the office for 90-day reports.

Buriram doesn't like online reporting, last time I did an extension I was told I hadn't fulfilled my 90 days report requirements.
I had to insist they use a computer  and admit that I had. Anyway, the link I  gave above is no longer working.

So for the 90 day report I just need to fill out a TM 47 and show up at the Buriram Immigration Office 14 days prior to or up to seven days after the report by date stamped in my passport?

You do not even need to fill out a form now. Just turn up within the dates you identified and the immigration officer does the rest. Normally in and out in under 10 minutes.

Looks like nookie is wrong again:

The foreigner makes the notification in person, or
The foreigner authorises another person to make the notification, or
The foreigner makes the notification by registered mail.
The notification must be made within 15 days before or after 7 days the period of 90 days expires.
The first application for extension of stay by the foreigner is equivalent to the notification of staying in the Kingdom over 90 days.

You can read all you like............I take notice of what an actual IMMIGRATION OFFICER quoted to me
''Come 15 days early or 8 days late you pay 2,000 baht'.......

Always best to check with your local immigration.

The link provided above is for Immigration area 1. Buriram is not in area one. The website also hasn't been updated for 7 months.

As an example I know of a couple of guys who use Samui immigration. There it is 7 days early and no days late.

That website also says that you can do by post. Cannot at Buriram.

It also says that a third party can do on your behalf. Some times can sometimes cannot at Buriram, depends who you deal with.

There is also online reporting that cannot be done at Buriram.

Like I said before, best to get info from your local office.

Umm, sorry to burst your bubble there Starman but the 90 day reporting website is valid for ALL of thailand, NOT just division 1 (that's just who put the link up)

Immigration officers in offices in one buffalo villages scattered around the country don't get to pick and choose if they want to accept it or not. If it's up and running they gotta use it.

FWIW: 90 day reporting can be done in person 15 days before down until 7 days AFTER your actual due date. Again I don't care what some low level passport stamping half-wit at the immigration office says, those are the posted rules and I'd hold them to it if I was up there (which I'm not, so you're on your own). you do pay a 2000baht fine for failure to report on the 8th day after your due date though.

Also ANYONE can take in your 90 day report, it does NOT hafta be done in person by any wild stretch of the imagination no matter what officer you get.

When are you people gonna man up and hold those immigration officers accountable up there?

here's the website for the 90 day reporting;
