Racism is alive and well in every country around this world, and it always will be. Has it gotten less?   Yes, it has and in many areas of the USA it no more apparent that in "advanced" European countries, but make no mistake there will always be segments of every society that will be racist.

Not yet anyway. Not much need for size 13 (USA) rubber slippahs among the locals.

The story & video from the fiasco onboard an overbooked United Airlines flight just shows how racism is still alive & in the USA.The CEO rapidly retracting his first statement claiming the passenger was aggressive.A 68 year old KOREAN doctor? ???
Yet another 'stunning' own goal

Looks like forum RCI has struck again, the lawyer for the Korean passenger at a press conference stated that Racism was not a factor in this incident.   jumping8

Looks like there was a lot of RCI in making this post:

Dao is a Vietnamese refugee.

Despite some initial speculation that Dao was of Chinese descent, his daughter clarified during Thursday's event that her mother and father had both immigrated to the United States from Vietnam. His lawyer, Tom Demetrio, revealed that Dao compared what happened on that flight to the fall of Saigon:

"He said that he left Vietnam in 1975 when Saigon fell, and he was on a boat and he said he was terrified," Demetrio said, sharing a conversation he had with his client. "He said that being dragged down the aisle was more horrifying and harrowing than what he experienced in leaving Vietnam.?

Starman is correct on his post.  And the moron that created the post is doubly wrong.
