I procrastinated long enough (easy when you have a 2nd car), so today I bought a new battery, basically the same one I had in the truck.  So the truck starts on its own again without a jump.

However, I bought it from what could almost be an Auto Parts store in America.  Had the largest selection of batteries I have seen (plus lots of other vehicle stuff).  However, TIT.  They had several maintenance free batteries on display, but they had none to sell.  Go figure.

The store is just past the light on 288 like you are going to Surin, just before the 7-11 Gas Station.

Just a revisit to this thread.  My old truck battery barely lasted 3 years, but for lack of a good selection I ended up basically with the same battery.  However this time I check the water at intervals, probably put in a 3/4 bottle of electrolyte (pink bottle 20 baht), and this one looks like it is going to make 4 years.

However, my 2012 Suzuki car battery was going bad so I decided to go to the B Quick Tires at the north side of Robinsons, left the car with them, went shopping and now am trying a sealed battery.  Will see how that works.

Digging up threads over 3 years old is almost just as boring though.

I was going to hook onto this thread about a new battery place that just opened but I shan't bother now, I may be put to public shame.
