There needs to be a ban on all Machetes as that would have prevented the attack.

Bravo, with guns do you think that there would be only one dead, I'm surprise that there was no mention of the fact they tried to kill him with a car first..... Ill give one thing to those Muslims it sore personal with a knife

Uncalled for?

Exactly how is calling for a ban on guns to protect people different than now needing a ban on machetes to protect people?

Since you believe bans work for guns, a ban on machetes would have worked here.

How am I wrong?

Yes, it is uncalled for in that I brought up the absurbity of your arguement.

I'm with Urleft on this one.

In fact if one or two of the spectators were carrying a concealed weapon, maybe the poor guys life could have been saved.

And Speros you should read the facts before mouthing off - the perpetrators did have a gun....

Keith .... Absurdity of my argument? I made a statement not an argument!
DJ ... Mouthing off? When did I state they didn't have guns... I suggested with guns maybe more would be dead.... No guns were used in the murder.

This poor bugger was murdered for supporting his counties troops, at least our link about gun control in the USA has the humanity to care for lives, your comment ( the both of you) would be shot down in a kindergarten playground.....debating with yanks on this forum is about as educating as licking a lead based paint....God save the USA as its citizens have no hope  brick1

Simon,

So it is OK for you to use a US tragedy to promote your views on gun control, but I cannot use a tragedy in the UK to do the same?

Yup, sounds like fair debate to me.  You are coming across as an American liberal that cries foul when they set the precedence and then someone tries to do the same to them.

I was talking about a country and people that are worth respecting, that doesn't apply here.
