Hi
It appears that 'Dave the Buffallo's Dad' has spoken to Chris and a few of us (including wives/GF's) are going up to try out the delights for the first time. ~~Peter~~ Ooops Dave, will be making some noise with others and it would be nice to see some other 'Bums'(if you get my drift). May be staying the night in Bums-ville so any recomendations for a cheap,clean hotel/resort nearby would be gratefully accepted.

Check out .... * buriram city map NEW.pdf (314.15 KB - perhaps this link will not work so just check it out on Admins post on forum.

Anyway it shows Vong Thong hotel by Book & Bed and BE HQ! Never stayed there so not sure of prices.

Also the hotel I don't know the name of

is in the area behind Taweekit #2 and is called after a shrub that smells nice at night, that should narrow it down a bit

but I will get Thai name from a friend and let you know. Unless someone beats me to it and posts name.

There are 2 good & low rates hotels in Buriram I recommend on:

1) Fean fha hotel.

2) Lek appartment. (Down from our soi (soi vong-thong) turn left and keep straight with the road.)

Both of them in the heart of the city and room prices are around 350-550 Max. Nice and clean.

Hotel is Fhean Fha = Thai for Bougainvillea didn't know that smelt at all let alone at night!

The city maps leave a bit to be desired. Bit lacking in detail. No idea where to 2 recommended hotels are or Friendz/Sawadee.
Gawd knows what tourists do!!!! (other than go to Surin

Hi found it yesterday easily and its a nice location by the lake(Buriram Riviera). That area could be a nice spot for restarants/hotels IMHO.
I was impressed but TMWG beat me there and bought all the pies!!

I'd just like to say a big thank you to Chris and Wan for a lovely evening.
Food/Location/Music & of course Drink was top notch, even though I seemed to eat someone else's meal!LOL.
Other than my party from Surin, no other Bums turned up but I suppose 7pm is a bit late for them

I would suggets you check it out as it a realy nice laid back place.
