Good luck to the Brits... especially the South Africans, Trott the newcomer, and Matt Prior (whom I have to support as he went to the same school (in England) as I did).

Fairly good first day's play in the Fifth test, with the Aussies getting the edge during the last session. Good start by Trott too, unlucky to be out to a superb piece of reflex fielding by Katich. I thought of contributing to the Thai Visa Forum on this subject... but it seemed to be all Brits slanging Aussies and Aussies slanging Brits. At least nobody's started that here! Here's looking forward to Day Two.

Keep posting ~~~ all the members on this forum are far to apathetic to post anything .. let alone anything confrontational!

As usual we brits like to make everything difficult for ourselves but I am keeping my fingers crossed!

Yeah, great innings by Hussey... but the best team won, after all. Makes a nonsense of test rankings, which still show Australia as No.1, reflecting the glory days of two or three years ago. I'd like to see if England could make any headway against the South Africans (1st XI).
