I think a lot of the stories about vaccine issues is propaganda. Here in UK I have had 2 doses of Astra Zeneca. I felt, and still feel, absolutely fine. I had a bit of a sore arm for a day but nothing really to worry about.

I, personally, have not heard of anyone who has had any worse than  a sore arm and a 12 hour sniffle. Local news not reported anything. National news too.
I think it all depends on where you get your info from . Everybody seems so polarized these days .
I could say the same thing and say I don't know anyone that has died from Covid and only see the figures that are posted daily on the MSM . Anybody that has different views for the MSM are told they are conspiracy theorists ( conspiracy theorist is the new phrase from the left to take over from  'You're a racist' "  )  when they want to shut you up . I remember when this Covid first started and anyone that said it started in the Wuhan Lab was banned from social media .Now its common rhetoric so say so and believed to be the truth by many .

I get my info from the best place. Personal experience. Family, friends, friends of friends, work mates, friends and family of work mates, etc.

So you dont read MSM News  ::)

To be honest, there has hardly been any bad press here in UK regarding any of the major Covid19 vaccines.

Of course I see the news. Difficult not to.

I do, however, take more notice of what is around me. Couple the two together and I can confirm that I have heard very little about issues with vaccines.

Of course there will be some. When you have vaccinated over 40 million people there are bound to be a minute percentage of those that have side effects.

Like I said in a previous post, I drink more alcohol than the recommended weekly limit. That probably does me more damage than a pesky vaccine will. Am I going to stop drinking? NO NO NO.  smilebar

What I find is quite telling is although the poll is roughly a 50/50 split the only Forum Members that have posted ( so far ) are those signalling to say they have had the vaccine will no ill effects or want to be vaccinated  ( apart from Nobby who never brings much to the table apart his lack of wit  )
Those that are unsure or don't go along with the mainstream narrative , where on places like Facebook ,Twitter ( not that I go on there much  ) YouTube and Google you are 'Fact Checked or Banned ' for not towing the Covid/Vanccine Party line . ( by the way 'who fact checks the fact checkers)
It's as if the anti-vaccers keep their heads below the parapet so as not to be ostracized by the righteous sheeple
So it would be nice for a few of those members to post their reasons why they are not having the jab.

BTW ...  I voted ' I will only get vaccinated if I'm forced to for travel or Visa reasons!. I would succumb to the jab if it meant I could no longer travel to some of my favored places or was refused a visa to stay here .

Some older people do have some adverse reactions but in the US it's the younger people having the Vaccine that is the cause for most concern

I don't believe it is as close as you make it. I and one other poster have commented that we have had both jobs. Nothing in the poll for that scenario.2 pollsters said they will wait. 2 others said they will if they had to. None said they don't want it. At best you have a 10/2 split of anti vaxxers.

Remember I voted ' I will only get vaccinated if I'm forced to for travel or Visa reasons!. So I'm not a hard core anti-vaxxer persa ,but I am sceptical. In fact no one on the forum so far is a anti-vaxxer ( I was wrong to have used that term in the post above ) as nobody has voted for the "I dont want a vaccine , I'm not a Guinea Pig!! " option yet .    Lets just say its a 50/50 split for those the have/would  to those that are sceptical/want to wait  :)

If you include the two posters that have had their 2 jabs already, it is more like 10/5.

The two that want to wait??? It would be interesting to see if those two are waiting to see what is happening or just waiting for an AZ jab or at least something different to the Chinese one. The latter would make more sense. Just look at the figures in the UK, and most other western countries. The take up is huge and those declining a vaccince pales into insignificance .

To be honest, I just don't see the point in all of these videos and posts. Social media is full of it. It doesn't serve a purpose and it certainly has nothing to do with vaccines.

I've read that opposition parties and certain groups have suggested it will make people run out and break the rules also. How childish would that be?

Follow the leader, so to speak. This is likely the same bunch that think it is all a scam and the vaccines have micro chips in them. It seems some people follow when it suits and don't when it doesn't.

So, this bloke had a canoodle at work. I was under the impression that 2 households could mix. How many households does 2 people amount to?

I think the worse situation is that he is married as is she. I also think that is what they both will be thinking about more than not social distancing.

Let's face it, if everyone had social distanced and taken the vaccine when they were offered, the Delta variant likely wouldn't have been increasing.

So, Matt Hancock has resigned.

Does this mean that all those people who have done something wrong at work are going to resign too? They were going to copy is actions before, remember?

I remember when a Mod on a local forum got caught shagging another expats wife , he had to resign as well .

Matt Hancock had to resign for obvious reason that I'm sure dont need to be explained. But like that 'Mod' I'm sure Matt will be back once the flames have died down to carry on being a pratt  ::)

From the amount of whining going on about how the British Embassy aren't acting on the vaccine delay for expats, I would say the figures are nowhere near 50/50 nationally. More like 90/10.
