Title: American 10 year "green card"
Post by: DeputyDavid on June 05, 2015, 10:15:12 PM
Leave it to USCIS  to screw those coming to America legally.  Has any American expats had their wives 10 year card denied because the clown behind the desk does not believe you got married in good faith?  We just received a RFE request for evidence for that reason  and I I provided volumes of documents to prove our good faith marriage.  Next comes another interview.  Has anyone had an issue like this and if so how was it resolved?

What you need to do is get your wife to Mexico, have her illegally cross the border and then she will be fine.

Indeed Keith.   That's another sore subject.  Unfortunately, for immigration  sake, she looks nothing like mexican.

I had to appeal when my then girlfriend wanted a tourist visa into Schengen land. I was interrogated by the police. So it's not only the US.

Coincidently my wife just received her ten year gc in the mail today.  It is unclear what has happened in your case as ten year green cards can come via direct consulate filing based on a two year marriage in Thailand or through filing to remove conditions on a two year green card obtained through a a fiancee visa or a spousal visa where the marriage is less than two years old.

I would suggest you join visajourney, a peer based immigration forum and read the guides and find the approriate forum to obtain some further information

Feel free to pm me
