I have a question for members who are living near Krasang (between Buriram and Surin).
Will English addressed post arrive at your location without any problems?
Also if you have packages from within Thailand (EMS?) (For example from InvadeIt) sent to you do you write the address in English or in Thai ?
And last question, what about packages from abroad ?
Thanks in advance, much appreciated

We are the other side of Buriram just outside Lam Plait Mat in Non Tacrong ( so well in the sticks). All mail I have been expecting has arrived OK with address in English. Only single issue I had was a parcel from UK that I had to pay some duty on so they held it at the post Office but did not leave a card to advise it was there. Other than that, all good.

I agree with Freddy. I've had several packages delivered with my Buriram address written entirely in English, so clearly the postal officers have a decent translation process in place.
Also, unlike Freddy, the postman did drop a little card in my mailbox one day, informing me that there was a package waiting at the PO. Apparently there was some Customs Duty to be paid. I was expecting this, so no big surprise. I paid the PO lady cash over the counter. A receipt was issued, and she handed me my overseas package with a smile.

Thx Guys, much appreciated.
I don't Get that many international packages (if I do get them they come with a company like Fedex) but I order a lot of stuff from companies in Thailand like InvadeIt (computer related) and I wanted to know if I need to change my address to Thai, but you guys reassured me I don't need to, again thanks for that.
Will order a couple of Power Banks with Surge Protector and see if they arrive and will report back (address of course in English)

Good Luck. Am sure will be fine.

I live not far from Krasang.. Been getting packages from England sent to me every month for the last 4 years.. Never had one go missing.. Had one that had been opened then taped back up and that's it.... I always put the wife's name on the parcel.. She has the same surname but a. Thai Christian name... Always put the Address in English too..

I've never had anything sent by Fedex as they usually make you pay Tax on the items so I've heard.... Family back home in the UK Box mine up in a plain Box with Brown paper and send it.. Goodluck

Not quite the same area (but they all come through Korat anyway).
No problems except for birthday cards - 2 out of 3 years' have not made it. Xmas cards OK.

So how do you guys get the English translation of the thai address ?
-
Ask the wife.. Mine is the number of my house then moo 7, village name then Buriram 31000

So how do you guys get the English translation of the thai address ?
Send it to me by PM and I will do it for you.

Ok, thanks - I will get the thai address from her when she gets home from work.

I'm also getting mail addressed in English in the Prakhon Chai area. I address as follows:
MyName
House# Moo Village# T.TambonName
A.Prakhon Chai J.Buriram 31140
Thailand
I also ran into the situation where duty was required on a package but I received no notice that it was sitting at the post office. Luckily that package had a tracking number, so I knew it had been here for a couple days and we went to ask. They wanted 7 baht to release it.

I used to live about 25k west of Buriram in Songhong small village,( and still get certain letters delivered there) wat I did to test post was send a couple of letters addressed to myself to see if they arrived, 1 standard and 1 EMS, they both arrived, I then spoke to postman and gave him my cell number and 100b and told him call me when he has any letters arrive and go meet him at post office and get. this works great so far. As all my overseas letters are arriving.

Since I lost an urgently needed credit card in the post I hire a PO box. However I have had packages addressed to other people given to me.
