ALCOHOL SALE AND DRINKING BANNED ON ALL TRAINS.
When will this stupidity stop,it's becoming more like Europe everyday with stupid laws.
I personally love traveling on the 3rd class ordinary train, yes it takes a little longer but the beer and the chicken, and Som Tam make the journey pleasant.
If this stupidity with rules and regulations continues then people will start looking elsewhere for a place to retire.
I for one never come here for this.

In the words of a Yorkshireman that was sentenced to a month's imprisonment for bonking in a dark alley: 'Tha'll never stop bonking i Yorkshire . '
If you don't know what bonking is, substitute any word that comes to mind into the phrase.
I just don't like drinking beer out of a thermos flask cup as I do on NCA buses.

Yes already thinking of a water bottle, half orange juice half vodka, nobody will ever know.
But still think it's a ridiculous ruling.
-
party3 it will never work.
-
The Rationale because a druggy alcoholic train worker went crazy seems really really lame. I would think using drugs and alcohol on the job would already be banned.

Just as well it's his head rather than his stomach, that would be a complete mess. thumbup

LOL, wow, yes I would agree there would be lots in the stomach, but his head is usually empty.

If Nookie's stomach exploded,it would kill us all, like a small thermo nuclear device (at least it might get the fruit cake in the other thread as well. thumbup

So called 'jokes ' about Nookie are a waste of my time, I am forced to look through posts full of rubbish. They are also very childish. Leave it out guys, please? I am sick of seeing this stuff.

Do you really need an Alcohol to enjoy living?
I think some alcohol reduction is recommended by all health aspects.
I can tell you since I moved from Thailand, my alcohol consumption dramatically dropped.
Think about your health before going to buy the next beer case(!).

Thank Buddha for that.
I thought I was the only one here that had a guy jump out of my closet and hold a gun to my head every time I logged on to BE.

I can agree with you on the Visa posts. I was irritated when BS popped up before I could even complete what I hoped would be an informative and helpful post.
But on this, the initial post basically says it all, all we can do is bitch, moan and banter about it.
And while Admin has a point about not needing alcohol, I took the overnight train from Bangkok to Chang Mai and it was nice to sit there have a few beers before hitting the sack during the 15 hour train ride. Too bad that seemingly will not be an option for the future. However, you can probably hide it in a 1st class sleeper. Or as with a lot of Thailand, slip the steward 50 baht to not see you.

Great, now all the mess cleared.
I remind all of you to keep on civilized CLEAN language.
