Post by: dassyurus on April 07, 2014, 06:22:54 PM
I am new here, exploring possible futures. I am hoping to make contact with someone with information about this place.
Thanks in advance for input. Australian veterinarian. Happy to offer help, not medication!! HA

G'day Dassyurus ... welcome

You'll fit right in here as a Vet ... plenty of dinosaurs, several gorillas, plenty of monkeys, loads of elephants and at least one bear that I know of.

All of whom are proud BE members

Thanks, and because you are called Mr Smooth, I realize immediately I can take all you say as gospel!!
Have noticed the amount of manure here!!.. Reading your list of resident animals, I begin ti understand.
Having said that, i AM Australian, so manure is a profession rather tan just a hobby. I really think I am going to enjoy this site.
I hope it is OK to not want to live in Buriram, but still seek enlightenment amongst these Illuminated persons??

The big thing about moving here (meaning Thailand, not just Buriram) is you have to have something to do.  If not, you will probably become bored out of your mind and join the bitch n drink crowd at the local farang bars.

I personally am content with Buriram.  Yes there are issues, however this is an up and coming city that I believe is expanding rapidly.  There are great opportunities here if you look.  Want a business, open some McDonalds franchises in Buriram, Nan Rong, and Surin.

I live in a good sized village close to Buriram, and it fits my needs.  Good luck in finding your nitch.

Thanks urleft, I gather that from talk here. So far, vet stuff, agricultural stuff, and a good motorcycle/ small engine mechanic. I will be visiting Nong Bua Daeng sometime soon. Was hoping for any possible contacts before I arrive there, but cold turkey is ok too.
