Gents
I normally have English documents translated into Thai on Wireless Rd in Bkk but I do not want to travel back down there after I get to Buriam. Does anybody know of a reliable translation service in Buriram, Nang Rong or Korat areas that would translated a British Marriage Certificate into Thai, with the translation being of sufficient standard to be accepted by the Thai passport office.
Many thanks.

I have a Thai friend that has translated many documents for me over the last 10 years.
All have been accepted at various Thai Government offices as well my Embassy in Bangkok.
He works out of CAT office in Buriram. His name is SUPOT.
PM me for his 'phone number if you are interested, or just go to the CAT office and ask for him.

Here's his card, his cost a little more that from wireless road, but then not much competition.

Thanks mate I appreciate it.
If any people know anymore I'm still looking just in case the first guy is busy.

I may have missed something ...... were the costs quoted somewhere ?

Since I seem to be the only one that mentioned costs, he translated a Thai Birth Certificate into English with 2 certified copies for 500 baht. That would cost about 200 - 300 baht of wireless road.
He also translated my passport information into Thai, but I really don't remember what he charged me.

Appreciate your request for getting translation done locally. Can't help you there. Just to compare costs I had Thai birth certificates, House/land title deeds, change of name, Identification card etc done in Bangkok for 400bht per translation. I paid also a travel agent 200bht per translation to deliver documents and have them ready for collection on return to Bangers. It took 7 working days to have them ready to pick up. I'm sure if I hassled and/or more than likely paid more I could have got them quicker. Thought I would throw my two bobs worth in seeing as I only had it done two weeks ago.

We often have a need for translations and we have them done by Nick's bi-lingual daughter at 300 Baht a page. She is also the official translator for a local law firm. We use that firm for certifications/notorisations etc for an additional fee.
Who is certifying the Buriram translations - Presumably not the guy doing the translations ?
His prices also sound fair.

Gents
As I started this thread I should at least update it and thank the people for their advice and initial recommendations.
I ended up going to Supot at the CAT offices in Buriram (very easy to find just near the roundabout in front of the station).
I phoned him prior to my arrival and parked right outside, went in with the British Marriage Cert and stated I wanted it translated into Thai. He said it would take a couple of hours with his workload and would call me when ready.
I drove over to Big C to do some shopping and before I had finished he had called me to come and collect. Translation was perfect, he gave me one original all stamped up and two copies for B500, he states it would be cheaper and give discount for larger amounts of work. The document was used and accepted at Korat Passport Office so all in all it was worth my while to go to him as opposed to the people I have used on Wireless Rd Bkk in the past. (yes the BKK price is about the same or a little less but the aggravation of the drive or the bus ride is a pain)
Very happy with this service and would recommend this guy and his professional approach.
