If you are comparing them to the systems in the west, where each house has a post code..... They do not exist!

Some are OK, Garmin seem to be the brand leaders out here but there are still loads of errors in every Sat Nav that I have seen.

Post by: davu on October 30, 2013, 04:43:26 PM: I gave up looking although I suspect you can find something in Korat (Media Center) and use my Android phone to navigate, worked ok up to now apart from sending me across a newly ploughed field last week. I have seen all kinds of woes recounted about buying a card and finding it is only in Thai, or having to key in an exact address to get directions.
Despite the disadvantages, I saw recently that more than 50% of users worldwide prefer to use their phone to navigate.

Post by: DeputyDavid on October 31, 2013, 10:30:15 AM: I came to LOS last month with my phone from America. I have Google Maps on my phone which I use here exclusively for navigation. I did not think it would work in LOS, but guess what, it worked great! I was in BKK and was able to find my way around walking with no problems. Not sure how well it works in rural area, but might be worth downloading google maps to your phone and give it a try. Will save having two devices, and if you are in a city walking around trying to find things may just do what you need!!
