Any advice gratefully recieved about decent health and accident policy for me my wife and her mum

currently looking at thailife policy (looks crap) and axa (looks expensive and crap)
i just want something to cover us for hospital fees in the case of illness or accident and accidental death (the policies i have seen are very very basic and barely cover any possible illness so please let me know who you all use for these services

There is one called Thai Health Insurance http://www.thaihealth.co.th/company_eng.php
which I am using as well as self insuring At my age, 65, it is still affordable but in 10 years premiums become outrageous.

I think that anyone that has visited state hospitals around here doesn't want to be a patient there. I don't like rice soup, dirty floors, long waiting times!
However if you have the money for a private room ( ฿600.- a day in Lamplaimat, so maybe doable).
You can only go to your local Ampur hospital as far as I know, like the Thais themselves, we had to pay ฿6000.- for a relative that fell here while visiting from Bangkok, as her yellow book was there.

In the 10 years that I have been living here FULL time, I never had to complain about the local hospitalservice. You cannot compare it to european of amrican standards but then you pay one tenth or less, sometimes even less then 1% of the price in "our" homecountry.
I've hospitalized for denque, had a few goutattacks, had some mayor dental works done, all at the local hospital in Lahansai. The only inconvenience is you have to able to be patient ... and time is the only thing the expat has in abundance.
Most of the time the rude foreigner wants to jump the line, is rude to the staff and the medics ... so what do you want to get in return ????
Please if you are not happy with the service : GO HOME !!!!!!!!!!!!!
