What system of filtration are you using for the fish pond and splash pool. Not the same one I hope! 5555
In this hoy climate it is cvery difficult to keep fish water clear, I have found.

Wow.. Looks beautiful even unfinished.. Out of our price range as well.. What we have is a cottage that we had built on family land.. It's less then a 1000 sq ft, but it will suit our needs quite well.. The house is built for 2 people with a guest room for visitors and it will be air conditioned. All the electrical work is done.. We'll add the air units once we are there. Will try to scale down a few pics of it so that we can upload them..

Alan, the area outdoors between the stainless steel and the house wall, is that for outdoor kitchen area?
-
We will be using a salts chlorinator for the plunge pool I will add details latter I will also add the steam generator detail for the sauna .
There is an outdoor BBQ and kitchen area yes and this will have a poly roof and doors ether end so it's an - indoor / outdoor all weather kitchen .
That's for your input guys ,I will be adding more pics in about a week .
Cheers now .
-
The fish pool is very small more just a water fountain area not so deep maybe 30cm so changing the water once in a while will be very easy , there will however be a small filter on the pump line .

Yes agreed...... and it's only a shame for us as Farang's can never OWN these house's ,in the TRUE sense of the word ::)
-
My understanding was that you can own 50% of the house but as far as the land goes nothing , but I could be wrong don't own any assets in Thailand, be interested to know , for when I got married , I had to sign a document , never to own real estate . House a different story .

Build a wooden house and you can own 100% of it and if you fall out with the land owner or the Thai partner you can just dismantle it and move it to another piece of land.
That's what i'm doing

It may be your home/house , but if you do fall out with the land owner, you may be refused permission to access the property to dismantle it! nono

See no safety on windows and doors. Does it mean that the owner trust people in the area or not fittet yet?
Personally I dont like, make house look like "monkeyhouse" but my wife say Buriram "very dangerous", so guess have to find a design both can tolerate love6
But how about your folks- safety or not ?

As I posted a few months ago, you can have a 50/50 say on the sale of the land.
I and my wife recently purchased a piece of land on which to build a new house. She went to register the land by herself. I was then asked to attend and sign some documents to, in the words of the lady at the land registry office, "protect both parties". Our land was purchased under the "Sin somrot" agreement. This means that the married couple that bought the land must also be in agreement when any subsequent sale takes place.

Hi guy,s this is the completed house .
Sorry its taken a while to add pic,s .

Alan: Thank you for posting photos of the beautiful and practical, fully completed house. All in all a very nice looking home. I am impressed with the rain gutters, downspouts, even the thought out distribution of the rain water. Excellent looking office built in furniture. Seems like a wise location choice for that Mitsubishi Water Pump, not out exposed to rain and sun. How many taps does the wall mounted water heater serve? I am curious what lines of exterior paint and exterior paint primer was used on the masonry in this beautiful house. You must have made the expat aware that the home ownership is legally established by what name is listed on the Permit to Build document. I can only imagine that the expat who paid for this home had a much smoother time of communication with you than most other expats have with more traditional Thai house builders. "Lost in Translation" I have observed can strain Expat | Thai marriages when a house is built in Thailand. Please keep posting photos and details of your more interesting house builds. Best Regards Pichai at Buriram Ruangsangthai Builders Merchants.
