Title: Watch the BBC iplayer without a VPN
Post by: erik69 on August 04, 2013, 04:28:29 PM: Anyone that uses Google chrome or Firefox can use this app to watch the BBC iplayer here in Thailand

I'm using it on Google Chrome and it works a treat :biggrin:

Go to that link MediaHint for Chrome Free Download
Download the extension by right clicking on the link in blue

Once downloaded

Click "tools" in Chrome
Click "extensions"
Drag and drop the mediahint0.1.12.crt file from your download folder straight into that chrome extension page.

Job done, you can now watch the BBC without a VPN jumping8

And no more sites that have endless adds to remove before you can watch steamingMad

I have tried the same technique on this laptop but for some reason I PLAYER is still blocked
is this a problem with incompatibility of the media hint software with windows 8 or is it that my thai bought computer cant bloody understand it
any advice appreciated

From memory I installed specifically to run the I Player.

You can download Mediahint on Firefox also, seems to work better early in the morning due to bandwidth.

Easy fix to stop trackers ... https://www.abine.com/

There is a free version there that stops tracking on both web pages and your email address if you want.

I have been using it for 3 months and so far I have (it has) blocked 51000 trackers :wacko:

And just out of interest .... Buriram Expats website does not have any trackers thumbup

New members only have that option now, unless someone can tell me how to backtrack to get the freebee ????
