That seems a bit high??

Compared to, say, the Manit Maung Mai estate, just off the 288 bypass road, it is.

2/3 bedroom houses in that estate go for between 5000 bht and 7000 bht per month.

This one closer to town, and now rented was 5500 bht per month ........ http://www.buriramexpats.com/forum/index.php/topic,7235.0.html

But if you are a Big C aholic, then this one could suit.

That would be PERFECT for me for a couple years or so while I figure out what I want to do....hopefully something like that will come up when I am ready to go there in a few years.

I mean 5000 to 7000 is perfect, 11,000 not so much!

Big chance DD. There are always a heap of places to rent around town. If not advertised here on BE, word of mouth and a quick drive around will throw up many possibilities.

Also, I doubt that in a few years that prices will have increased that much. One example springs to mind: 9 years ago I rented a new 2 story townhouse / shop-house not far from the night market. Monthly rent was 5K bht. Moved from there about 2 years later. Friends of ours recently moved into the same place. Monthly rent .............5K Bht !!!!

Amway, apologies for derailing this thread :)
