Alan, putting up stats on the home will not infringe on the owners privacy as we do not know who it is.  Please let us know what is the size and cost as seen, as my Thai wife LOVES the photos, and would like to have one similar when we retire soon.  Please reply with price range.  She love the faux stone work and half wall.  Nice home and thank you for sharing.

Having seen the house I can also add that a number of quality 'extras' were requested by the owners.

I don't know what the exact cost finished up at (because of the refinements) but if I was budgeting  (for a 'normal' build of this quality) I would work on 15,000 Baht per square metre i.e. 230 x 15k = circa 3.4m

Thanks for the "appr estimate". The small extras is that somthing like THB 463,75 bananadance. But seriously, not so bad for quite a big house and, at least from looking at the pictures, nicely buildt congrats

Alan, your thoughts please.  I want to build a "room" onto wifes parents house. (Yea I know, but just going to use it for few years until I retire and can build a house not so close!)  This room will attach to main house with exit front and back.  Simple construction, red block and plaster with tile roof is what I prefer.  3x9 meter with toilet, sink and shower, tile floor, aluminum sliding door and windows.  Nothing fancy like what you show here, simple room.  Can you give me a range of cost for something like that, no commitment, just need to know where to start price wise.  I think around 100,000 bth.  Am I close?
