Title: Teacher and two fine dogs seek small, inexpensive house to rent in/near Buriram
Post by: Mitch Iwichiwa on March 14, 2013, 07:58:00 PM
Single, clean-living, easy-going teacher and two great dogs are looking for a small, inexpensive longterm house to rent in/near Buriram:

- Away from fast traffic
- Way out of town is fine.  The dogs and I like nature and quiet.
- Up to 20 minutes motorcycle ride from city center
- Need a few neighbors for safety, but should not be in a tightly packed village
- Reasonably secure
- Cheap, middle class, cookie-cutter housing complex is ideal
- A largish hong-taew ห้องแถว (inexpensive series of attached units) would probably work too, if the neighbors are okay.
- Unfurnished is okay
- Reliable, clean household water supply
- Clean air
- Teacher's budget:  1,500 - 4,000 per month
- Less is more

If anyone has any suggestions on areas I should drive around and inquire, could you please let me know?  Thank you!  (I can speak Thai when I go.)

1,500 - 4,000 baht might get you something but I would have thought not quite what you discribe. Good luck.

I appreciate the feedback, although Kenya would be too long a commute.  :- )  Surely 4,000 is good for more than that, right?
