I am living in USA, still working but hoping to retire in next few years so I am doing homework at this point. Wife is BuriRam Native, her family is mostly there on the farm just outside town. My next trip goal is to explore more of the city itself rather than travel around the country. I see the posts on vehicle rental which was most helpful. The next thing I will look at is "contractor" to build my retirement house, and possibly buy more land for markets and /or appartments. Just a thought at this point. I am happy to be a member of this forum! spot1

Welcome Dave, Glad to have another Yank here.
When you get to town you are welcome to PM me and I can relate my experiences from a Redneck perspective.
Regards,
Keith

A redneck perspective.
As usual, there is someone that leaps to conclusions without forethought.
Yes, those provide a lot of fire power, great for a horde of attackers, but rednecks like me do not have have the money to feed these beasts the ammo required.
Personally, I have no use for automatic weapons. I am more in line with Carlos Hathcock, One Shot One Kill method of fixing things.
I provided in another post my weapon for close combat, very few understood the significance behind the choice.

Had an Aussie Sniper in my unit in Afghanistan that was very good at that method.

I am, we not only had the Aussie Sniper, but had his entire unit as part of mine, also had units from the UK, Sweden, Germany, Norway, etc. My unit was the HQ for all the special ops forces and included all the Navy SEALS.
