With the implementation of the 300 baht minimum wage in a few days time......How will it affect you??
As you know I sell a lot of falang frozen food up here & I've already been notified of some rather hefty price increases ,with this Minimum wage amongst other things such as the spirraling cost of beef being cited as the reason.

I know of a qualified woman recently offered a management job in a Buriram hotel starting on a 3 month trial in the new year. The wage being offered 250 baht/day. Minimum wage was questioned to which the owner reminded the applicant that this was Buriram. The offer was delined.
Looks like many Thai employers will ignore the 300baht rule.

I doubt it Nookie.
The majority of the Isaan Thai people tend to accept anything (mai phen rai) and would be unlikely to confront their employer if he refused. They might only be getting 200/220bt a day, but most of that goes to repay loans, and they would be buggered without it.
You worry about your Jungle Bunny -she might come along with her hand out, (especially as Nookie's Berr Garden has done so well this past year!) :D :D :D
