45 hour and 4 YEARS old.  That is about 10 hours a year, or maybe one weekend each year.

Good luck on your price.  One problem with little used engines is they tend to go bad with rotten seals.

Think you will find rubber seals have come on a bit in the last 30 yrs. Are you qualified to make this comment on this item?

not with the information given here.  Was the 45 hours put on in the first few months of ownership and has the jetski been sitting for 4 years (with gas in tank for 4 years)?

How about a statement like:  "Just had the jetski out for 4 hours last weekend, pushed it open throttle and what a great ride, no detected leaks."

If I was the seller I would have checked it out and relating what great fun I had this past weekend.

More uninformed assumptions! What have you got against this guy to slag off this item with no knowledge of how or when it was used, maintained or stored up.
Some years ago I purchased a stolen recovered jet bike from a police auction. This item had been stood without being prepared for storage for over 2 years. Full service and new battery and it was perfect 100%. Used it trouble free for over two years prior to selling on to another happy owner.
Your post is pure negative speculation and serves no purpose to this gentlemans advert and I hope anybody that is interested in this item is not swayed by your nonsence.

Alan, are you standing behind this product and will guarantee its operation?

What I am saying is be careful.  45 hours sounds great, but if that was put on the 1st week of purchase and the jetski has been sitting since (especially if there was alcohol gas in the tank), be careful

The Op needs to provide more information on the usage and running condition.  I was involved in a sale of a 15 year old ford mustang with 30,000 miles on the speedometer.  I tried to get people to buy but another guy beat me to it.  He then had to deal with the customer when the cus took the 350 cu in engine to 80 mph and blew the main seal.    The Old Lady owner never went above 45.

I personally hope the op blows me out of the water stating something like they just put on 10 hours with some hard use the ski is ready to go.

Jetski is used regularly at a lovely freshwater lake in Buriram-My wife drove and I skiid around the lake for a couple of laps recently.Take it out as often as possible. We have recently purchased 2 puppies-they do not like the jetski, but they love my sailboat-hence the sale.I owned a motorcycle and boat  shop in Aus.-The yamaha is in perfect running order-thanks for your input Alan-you are quite right about Japanese technology-I think the other guy has some serious problem-mostly stemming from ignorance in this field.Have owned personally more than 60 boats and skis in the past-suspect this puts me in better position regarding knowledge of seals etc.-By the way ,have already received firm offer of 300,000-baht.Some people appreciate a good product at a fair price party12

Nobby,as Alan stated,Buriram has some lovely lakes close by.And I prefer using Boats and motorised toys in freshwater to salt water any day of the week.I like my toys to last as long as possible.Rebuilding boat trailers used in salt water is not one of favourite passtimes.

Regarding the 48 hours use in 4 years, this is quite normal for a non-rental jet-ski.With proper maintenance and regular oil changes, this Ski will give someone many years of hassle free fun bike038

You are correct Eric as I was ignorant in your use and maintenace of your jet ski as you did not provide that data in your initial posting (or until I already had 3 posts on this thread), and that was the type information I was commenting.

And for both you and Alan, at no time did I berate either of you (as opposed to near insults from both of you).  I was just commenting that the information provided was sparse and buyer should be careful without additional data.  Other additional information like one owner, bought new, used for several hours in the past month, ect. would have been helpful.

I thought it is a great looking machine and was trying to figure out were I could readily use it around here.  Again, good luck on your sale, hope both you and the buyer are happy.

The old saying that "If it has tits or tires, you are going to have problems"   applies (note that trailer is included).  I have also dragged 2 people from under a Yamaha snowmobile that caught fire when it tipped over (a standard occurance for snowmobiles, no accident involved).

Hi Urleft, would just like to say people do things in many ways.I for one, like to give people more information if they ask for more-otherwise it can get very boring for many-I left my phone number in the ad,any serious-repeat serious buyers- can call and discuss in as much detail as they would like.

As one of the low points in my life I was a used car salesman.

When we had a great product we would SHOUT the greatness of the vehicle.  Otherwise we would just post some main selling points.

You are right, different strokes for different folks.  As I have mentioned I am happy things are working out for you and the buyer.    Have a great day.

LOL,

In my last job I was a hiring boss.  A main criteria of mine that the person had to have a thick skin as my people were ruthless.

I remember calling in a guy to teach him how not to show weakness as that was why he was being picked on.

So if we know each other, flame a way.  My guys used to say I was the hardest to get as I gave them a high grade for "getting" me.  And having spent 27+ years in the military, you can't survive that with a thin skin.

However, until we personally know each other, we need to be careful on slamming the other guy, especially with all the different cultures and backgrounds on this board.

Unless you want to slam Nookie as it will be deserved.

I agree with you about taking care with slamming strangers, there are some very mean mothers in this world,I've personally met quite a few,and luckily,I'm still here.I am also fully aware that this site is used to alleviate boredom at times-and I am all for a bit of fun.Life is too short to get bored-A little shit-stirring can be good for the constitution-cheers! buttslap

Anyone interested in offering more than 300,000?So far this is the best offer I have received.Would like a bit more than this though-as a comparison-Jetski Thailand are asking 310,000 for a 2007 model with over 120 hours on the clock and NO TRAILER.-Cheers
