Kao PanSa - The begining of the rainy season
Today in the evening there will be candle round circles in the temples all around and in the city tonight and tomorrow in the day will be a candle parade.

Tomorrow will be the parade around the city since the morning time.

To be honest i find it all very boring.
But i suppose some are interested,me i just want a beer.

Sorry Alan if i came across a bit negative with my post,but i don't see what all the fuss is about,after all it's just candles,with more people losing money and taking time off work,then the same people complain they have no money.
That's one of the main issues here in Thailand i think,far to many holidays and not enough work.

Hahaha. You better get used to these festivals etc. Yes its difficult for us to understand but its all part of the culture. What I never understand is why the music is always ear splitting loud.

Yes it takes one a while to adapt to a different culture,i think it's going to be a long haul before i start going to the temple,and giving food away thou.

Thai national holidays(as indicated).
Most if not all government offices...including immigration...will be closed.
eg all except 3 aug,24 sept,30 oct and 27-9 Nov

I was going to say that some of them are not holidays.
Thanks for clearing up the confusion re: 24th September,30th October, and 27-29th November . These dates are not national holidays. The 3rd August was a holiday.
