Does anybody know of any company in the Buriram/ Lam Plai Mat area that could deliver about 20 truck loads of topsoil for levelling out a plot of land?

20 loads isn't that much - about 100 cubic metres (I think).
By my calculation, at just 1 metre high, that equates to 10m x 10m ?
Best results are usually from the nearby villages that are digging out a pond. Prices can vary enormously.

Thanks for the valuable advice. I think this would just be a starter amount and a fair bit more might well be required at a later date. If anyone hears about someone digging out a pond that would be useful too. I guess info about someone with a truck to move it might be useful too! Cheers.

I'm not home at the moment, but it sounds as if there has been plenty of rain recently, so not the time of year you are likely to get the diggers in action. The villagers will all be frantically sowing rice.
After the rice harvest Dec/Jan is usually the time this happens, where I live anyway.
Good luck though, get the wife to ask around.

Hi Adam. It's the same story in my area too. Maybe I will have to accept this fact and put the plan on the back burner for a few months! It is always easier to get something done when the harvest is in the past and someone wants to earn a bit of extra cash! Something usually turns up when you are on the verge of forgetting it, at least that is what usually happens to me!
