You are correct Tommo. I have been using it for 4 years on drives from Chiang Mai to Kap Choeng and find this advert so misleading as around Thailand the net is basically non existing.

Yes but only if you get a signal. There are still large areas that True 3G does not cover.

Can't comment on Surin but a friend of mine used a True 3g sim in a dongle whilst travelling from Buriram to Bangkok. He had a good signal all the way.

Excellent results. The internet has come alongways in the pass couple of months in the surrounding areas. Those of us that have access to a land line by either TOT or CAT are ahead of the game. True 3G is the only 3G provider in the area but their signal strengths does not cover the complet area. If you do not have access to any of these your SOL and out in the sticks and I do mean sticks not only in Issan but the north and the south your double fcuked.

In a cafe in the town I just got 20.15Mbps download and 0.89Mbps upload.
Don't forget too that this is not Megabytes a second. It is in actual fact Magabits per second.
There are 8 magabits to one megabyte.
Megabyte is shown as MBps and a megabit is Mbps. Note the capital "B".
