As said GMM has sole rights for the broadcast of these games and have blocked access by satellite UN LESS you have subscribed to their service.. For further info you can follow a discussion on ..http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/557676-6000bhat-for-license-to-show-euro-games/ and

Pattaya Police issue Euro 2012 warnings to Bars & Restaurants
25th May 2012
Euro 2012 is fast approaching and soccer fans from around Thailand and here in Pattaya can watch the games but you must either purchase a new set-top box or an old-fashioned TV Antenna. GMM-Grammy have won the rights to broadcast all Euro 2012 games and for bars and other businesses who wish to broadcast the games a meeting was organized for them at Pattaya Police Station on Thursday afternoon to discuss how they can legally broadcast the games. For domestic viewers, a simple TV Antenna will suffice as games can be seen only on the Analogue versions of Channel 3, 5 and 9. For Cable and True Visions Satellite customers, the games will not be broadcast. Another option is to purchase a GMM Z Box for 1,590 Baht, which can be used with a standard satellite dish as it uses KU-Band and C Band Signals, similar to True Visions. The reason for the meeting was to announce to bar owners that the only option for them is to purchase the GMM Z Box and pay an additional licence fee of around 2,000 Baht. For those venues who attempt to broadcast the analogue TV channels instead, they will be prosecuted.

But if you have a tv with antenna you can watch for free?? right

I fell that if language is that big of deal then turn the sound off and listen to it on the web. Personally I'll be sleeping at those hours.

Why do some people think it is so bad that Thai TV is broadcast in Thai I wonder.
-
For me its no problem,
if its in Thai ,English or Dutch for me its ok im already happy if i can see the Footbal in any language :)

FYI.The 7-11 next to Tesco EX in Prasat is selling the GMM-Z Box for 1595 baht. So check Surin City and Buriram, 7-11, Tesco and Big C. They have a web site www.gmm.tv which is in Thai only but i thank you will get the idea. I ran across another thread with some interesting info.

Can't argue with that.
I can imagine the uproar if the BBC tried to show Match of the Day in French....
