Help Expats -
Here's the story - this year girl planted rice on father's land (16 rai). Seeds
are in and doing well - except for some "bald spots" (like some of us have). Now the Thais
fill in these spots with plants (maybe ? 8-10 inches tall). Only just now Thai girl says no
plants to buy can be found. Any ideas (or plants) ?
Thanx/ Chris.

:) All is well -
Father moved other plants around and filled in "bald" spots. Don't know
much about rice farming, but they seem to be managing. Is this crop harvested in December? Any approximate idea how much profit can be had per Rai of rice? Don't know
myself - am only the "farms" sponser.
Thanx/ Chris.

A yiedls of 8K a 12k is common. Plants have better yields than sowing.

Thanx for the estimate. Hope this turns out for them, as it is farming.
This money will be good, as they really are that poor. If only they hold some baht back
for next years seed/fert.
