Title: How far is Ubon Ratchathani from Buri Ram?

Hi,

I would like to know how far (in minutes) Ubon Ratchathani is from Buri Ram. I ask because I want to fly into Ubon Ratchathani and rent a vehicle or have a taxi take me to Buri Ram to visit my girlfriends family.

I want to fly in, stay at a hotel in buri ram for one night, and then fly back out the next day to BKK to catch my next flight.

Is it expensive? Are the hotels and taxis/rentals cheap near buri ram? Im on a budget too... :)

Day 1: fly into Ubon Ratchathani, drive to Buri Ram to Hotel
Day 2: Drive back to Ubon from Buri Ram....

How much can I expect to spend aside from the flights? ( hotel in buri ram, plus taxi or car rental for driving to and back from buri ram)

Probably 3  -3.5 hours by road/  No idea taxi/car costs

Why not fly directly into Buriram??

Only 2 flights a week Nookie, and he wants to stay only 1 night.

But if he's on a budget he should be considering a bus both ways!

Time you have sorted out the car hire and waited for bags there probable a not a lot in it !!!

I fail to see any similarities Nookie.  Like you and CC I would probably stay 1 night with the girlfriends family and a night or 2 elsewhere before returning!   jumping1 smilenod

I actually already have my flight departing from BKK. But I was thinking I leave phuket a couple days earlier and instead of flying to BKK, I fly to Ubon Ratchathani, and then drive to Buri-Ram, stay one night, at a hotel, not the relatives! :) And the next day drive back to Ubon Ratchathani and fly to BKK, to catch my already booked flight to america. Im trying to figure out how much I will spend from the time I land in Ubon Ratchathani to when I depart from Ratchathani :)

Are there really only two flights a week to Buri Ram Airport?

Direct Bus Ubon-Buriram will be the best and cheapest option for you.

Why not come straight to Buriram - unless you have reason to go to Ubon.

Train or bus Bangkok to Buriram - good service, and probably almost as quick as going via Ubon.
