Deep Purple ready to rock Bangkok
Bangkok Post: 8 May 2010
SMOKE ON THE WATER AND FIRE IN THE SKY
Get ready to dance with the heavy metal fans of Deep Purple, which had its heyday in the '70s, at the reunion "Deep Purple Live in Bangkok 2010" on May 14 at Thunder Dome, Muang Thong Thani.
First formed in 1968, the band has gone through many line-up changes. Thirty years later, hard-core fans are still listening to the music as if hearing it for the first time. Considered among the pioneers of heavy metal, the legendary hard rock band from Britain has been on and off the stage.
After its most recent album, Rapture of the Deep in 2005, the band began a three-year world tour in 2006. The world tour covered more than 50 countries in five continents and ended only last year.
Tickets to the new world tour concert are 2,500, 1,500 and 800 baht,

Nothing more embarrassing {even slanderous} than 60-something rockers attempting to revise old days. Chances are, they're not even the original members. Alas.....can't we just remember them {et al} as they were?
