Going to Udon Thani for an extended stay and need to take my dog. Is there any form of public transportation that will accomodate pets?

I've never yet seen a dog on a Thai bus... but it might be possible.  Depends on the size of a dog.  A large dog would certainly have to be muzzled, but a toy dog might be acceptable without.  I suggest you go to the bus station (and maybe railway station) and enquire direct.  My inclination would be to travel by the ordinary orange bus, and take my dog to the back seat where there's plenty of room... but still ask first.

The only time I have ever seen a dog on a bus or train it was in the form of a curry hungry1
Find a friend you can trust to take care of it while you go away. smilenod
