Title: Is there a Veterinar in Buriram?
Post by: isanbirder on November 25, 2009, 06:34:56 AM
Does anybody know of a vet in Buriram?  My dog has developed a mysterious infection which I can't deal with myself (warts or subcutaneous parasites on one ear).  I know there are several vets in Surin, but don't really know my way round there.

2 places I know:  wave1

1)
There is one in the corner of the streets BulamDuang & Thanni road.
Go down from "7-11" store (infront bus-station) on Bulamduang road toward Thanon Thanni road and you'll see the place on the right side in the corner.
It's a Vet shop & Clinic.

2)
On Romburi road down from "Bamboo Bar", Opposite the entertainment area buddha statue there is a place operating as Shop & Clinic for as well.

Good luck.  runningdog

Thanks, Admin.  I'm currently trying to deal with the dog's problem myself, but needed to know where to go in case of emergency.

Could someone please inform me if there are any competent vetenary doctors or vetenary clinics in the Buriram area. I live in Satuk. Thank you in advance to all that respond.

Does anyone have recent experience of Saipin or Adisorn Clinics?  Does (a wild hope) either vet speak English?

Visited the Vet in Prakhonchai a few days ago, following directions of Nick.  Am reluctant to say "easy to find"; (how man times have you heard that one?), however, here is an added hint.  As you proceed east on Hwy 24 from city center, you will notice on the left, a multi-floored building painted white with large black spots - this one is the old location.

A bit further east, in a petrol station court is a second white (single floored) building with large black spots.  This is the new location.  Quick and attentive service.   Plenty of pet supplies available.   Visit was followed by lunch at Coffee Corner; good meal - as always.

The pet supply shop near OMSIN (Government Savings Bank) now has its own vet on the premises.  A young lady trained at Chula who speaks a certain amount of English.

I was in the pet shop near OMSIN today having some tests done on my GSX (blood tests), and she said it was possible to get more detailed tests done if necessary at the pet hospital/clinic which is just before you reach Big C.  (Our shared languages broke down at this point)  Has anyone heard of this or know what it is?
