Hi TBWG,
Nice place, like the way you have is so close to the pond, there is nothing so relaxing and calming as water, we are putting a pool in at our place with waterfall etc, when i have the time.

Being a cheap Charlie I decided that rather than bring in soil to raise up the land before building the house, that it would be easier and more cost effective to get a local in with a digger and scoop out a b****y great hole and spread the soil.

Bearing in mind I like all the wild life it attracts as well as having our own supply of fish  hungry it has been one of my few successful projects!! Although when all the frogs and toads start up when rain is coming you need ear plugs!

Hi TBWG
Lot more water in pond than when I last saw it. I envy you for having such a nice home mate, but I am not 100% sure its the pool that attracts the wildlife or its owner!  party10 party3

Hi

It's not all smooth going! Somehow we managed to get some pla doh in the pond, now we know someone who was bitten by a pla doh that weighed 22kgs they also consume anything else that moves .... so we had to empty the pond to get rid of the buggers confused4

I must learn to carry a camera at all times. I once saw a pond being drained and a few of the village kids were wading in the shallow muddy waters to gather all the fish. Then one guy, covered in mud and slime, got out of the pond and walked a few steps away to take a leak. I thought that was mighty kind of him (to the fish and the other guys).  happy1
