Don't even think about it ADMIN.  ;) You stopped smoking and I wouldn't dream of involving you in this venture. Anyway, I read up a lot about it these last couple of days and it seems that tobacco needs very specific climatic conditions to grow properly. But there are many different varieties to choose from. What I will do is go out to the seeds markets in town and see if I can get some seeds. The only way to test this is to do this right?

Hi Lourens.
My wife tells me that tobacco was grown very extensively in our area 20 ++ years ago. Her father grew several rai of tobacco every year on land that we now grow mangoes and vegetables on. We are just out of Lam Plai mat, about 30 kms west of Buri Ram. There is a river on one boundary and in the past my family have pumped water from there to irrigate the vegetables during the dry season. happy2
